Mission

To establish an overwhelming presence of dedicated fathers in the school setting through positive mentoring, reading, assisting the school faculty and other committees with issues concerning our children.

Vision

Stress the imperativeness of positive male role models being involved in our childrens education today, which will lead to academic excellence in the future.

Rules and S.O.G. (Standard Operating Guidelines)

1. Mandatory fatherly involvement- 10 hours or more participation per year.
2. Attend monthly meeting or outings agreed upon by executive board members.
3.
Utilize the “Lead by Example" motto at all times, while on school property.
4. Follow all rules and policies regarding the Dekalb County School System. 
5. Dress appropriately and professionally while chaperoning student on field trips.
6. Wear FBI golf shirts whenever representing Narvie J. Harris School and the FBI committee.

 

What must we as Fathers do

Read to our children.
Keep our promises.
Let our children help with household projects.
Spend time one-on-one with each child.
Tell our children about our own childhood.
Go to the zoo, museums, ballgames as a family.
Set a good example.
Use good manners.
Help our children with their homework.
Show our children lots of warmth and affection.
Set clear, consistent limits.
Consider how our decisions will affect your children.
Listen to our children.
Know our children's friends.
Take our children to work.
Open a savings account for college education.
Resolve conflicts quickly.
